Scholarship Information & Donors

IGEF scholarships are awarded each May to graduating seniors.  They are carefully selected in the spring by a team made up of school staff headed by the Guidance Counselor, Jacob Amenda,  who then match up the students to what the donors have chosen as their area of preference, e.g. agriculture, business, science, etc.   Scholarship information is delivered by the school in a number of ways to parents and students.  To find out more about this process, go to: www.igs.k12.wi.us

** Our Magnificent Scholarship Donors  **

*Thomas & Mary Jane Limmex Scholarship

Thomas Limmex grew up in the Linden area, attending & graduating from the Linden school. He worked on the farm of his uncle Aldon Thompson after he graduated. He then joined the service in Nov. 1942, got married & settled in the Cleveland Ohio area. He married Mary Jane & they had one daughter. Tom liked to return to the Linden area to visit friends & relatives. He was especially proud of his education & what it had enabled him to achieve. When Tom’s uncle Aldon Thompson & his wife Delia (Walsey) Thompson passed away they left their farm to Tom & Mary Jane. Tom & Mary Jane both valued their education so much that they decided to give the property to the Iowa-Grant Schools. Their passion for the educational process & especially the graduating students was all they wanted from this donation. The scholarship that they funded has provided many graduating seniors an opportunity to provide for their educational enrichment. They both had a passion for education & continued to support that passion with donations to education. This donation was the cornerstone of the Iowa-Grant Educational Fund & their contribution will be continued indefinitely with the “endowment” status.
