The Iowa-Grant Educational Foundation

The Iowa-Grant Educational Foundation (IGEF) welcomes you to learn about our mission, our accomplishments and hopefully, find a lasting and meaningful way for us to connect with you and for you to become engaged with our efforts.

IGEF was established in 1999 as a charitable support organization for the Iowa-Grant School District.  It is governed by a group of local residents who are committed to helping the district achieve and maintain excellence in its programs, students and staff. The Foundation provides an avenue to shape and support new, exciting and innovative educational enrichment initiatives, as well as to support students in their pursuit of post-secondary education.

We are pleased to present this philanthropic opportunity to all Iowa-Grant residents, alumni, staff and supporters to assist this institution that has had a memorable and positive impact on so many lives for over sixty years.

Iowa-Grant High School

This school district, called Iowa-Grant,  was born on July 24, 1958.  Ground breaking took place on August 13, 1959 and by August 28, 1960 the doors were  opened to students.
For the complete story on how this all came about, check out the book "Iowa-Grant History - the formation of a school district and the 50 years that followed" for the in-depth historical details.  This book was written by the Iowa-Grant Educational Foundation.

Iowa-Grant Elementary Middle School

A new joint graded school for the district became a reality in the fall of 1992 after the 6th referendum was finally passed merging the four elementary schools of Cobb, Montfort, Livingston and Rewey.  Linden had previously closed in 1982 and merged with Cobb.
